Free Tuberculosis (TB) Clinics
Pakistan ranks eighth on the list of 22 high-burden tuberculosis (TB) countries in the world, according to the World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) Global Tuberculosis Control 2009. In 2007, an estimated 297,108 people in Pakistan (primarily adults in their productive years) developed TB. The emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) TB and TB-HIV co-infection is a growing concern in the country.

Chiniot General Hospital is providing free treatment for TB patients with the help of Chiniot Anjuman Islamia
Medicines are providing free for the full course of treatment because patients due to the finincial constraints stop taking medicines as soon as they feel better. This half treatment leads to resistant TB, which is not only difficult to treat but is more expensive and prolonged.
Our Achievements
Chiniot General Hospital-CGH have contributed to the following improvements in TB control in Pakistan:
  • From July 2006 till November 2011, 18786 tuberculosis affected adults and children treaded
  • Trained technical staff who deliver diagnostic and treatment services
